Hines Family

The Hines family were the successful bidders on the photography session and wall portrait we donated to a recent Habitat for Humanity fundraiser. Their oldest daughter just graduated from college, and both sons now attend Texas Tech. Often times clients call us for family portraits when the children start college. The ...new reality that they won't be around as much, coupled with the fact that often times when children get older we don't pick up the camera as often, gets parent feeling a little pain in the heart. So we love creating portraits for them to display in their home to remind them of the family bond. Mary and Nate, my hat is off to you for creating such a lovely family!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Brinkley

It was so great to meet Brinkley the dog and his human, Aly. They came in for our "Pet-acular" pet-folio event. Brinkley did everything we asked, although it cost us about a pound of treats! Aly is an awesome model, too. I'm looking forward to having her return soon for a pinup model session!

Recycled Poms

What is a Recycled Pom? I recently learned the answer to that when I was contact by Lori, the fundraising coordinator for Recycled Poms, a group of people who love Pomeranians and are working hard to rescue abused, abandoned, owner surrender, puppy mill closures and stray "Poms" in Texas and Louisiana. The group fosters and cares for the Poms they take in , and of course there are many expenses associated with such an endeavor. We photographed their recent "Yappy Hour" at Barker Street Bakery, which raised nearly $2000! If you have a dog in your family, you should go there and check out all their cool doggie treats and treasures. The Smile House

On Saturday we had the pleasure of participating with Dr. Lyles and his staff at Smiles by Lyles as they kicked off their fundraising campaign for The Smile House. This project is a Habitat for Humanity home that will be built in the Spring area for a needy family. Recently my daughter and I, along with some of our National Charity League members, served lunch to the crew working on Habitat homes in Spring. It was a great experience, and Kendall can hardly wait until she becomes old enough at 16 to actually work onsite.

Smiles by Lyles planned a carnival to raise money for The Smile House. They had a petting zoo, cake walk, bounce house, face painting, silent auction and lot of other activities and vendors. We offered our "Fun Cam" for the event, and everyone had a blast! Check out Dr. Lyles and his team in their fundraising finery, and some of my other favorite pics from the event.
